GST, income tax, TDS, Vritti Kar and books for local traders, manufacturers, professionals and salaried people. TaxCaller India LLP has handled this work online since 2018.
In short: We act as your CA firm in Indore without you ever visiting an office. GST, ITR, TDS, books and Madhya Pradesh professional tax are handled over WhatsApp, phone and the official portals. You approve every return before it is filed, and the fee is fixed before we begin.
Indore runs on trade. Hardware dealers in Siyaganj, commission agents at the mandi, auto component makers in Pithampur and food processors on the city edge all need the same thing from a CA firm in Indore: returns filed on time, credit not lost, and a straight answer when a notice lands on the portal at 8 PM.
TaxCaller India LLP has done this kind of work since 2018. Our office is in Ghaziabad, and a network of qualified Chartered Accountants and tax experts works on files from across the country. For you, that means a WhatsApp chat for papers, a phone call for decisions and an acknowledgement PDF once the filing is done. The car stays parked.
People who usually reach us from the city: grain and oilseed traders, pharma and auto part suppliers, namkeen and snack makers, clinic owners, coaching institutes, and software professionals who work remotely for companies in Bengaluru, Pune or abroad.
What do we not do? We do not run a counter in the city, and we will not pretend to. What we do offer is a reply on WhatsApp the same working day, a draft you can read before anything is filed, and one team that remembers last year's figures when this year's notice arrives. For most families here that matters more than a desk nearby.
Start with our page on CA services for businesses and individuals, or just message us with your question. A free first call comes before anything else.
The answer depends on how you earn. A mandi agent, a factory owner and a salaried engineer each need a different set of filings.
Indore's economy stands on two legs: trade that moves goods across Malwa and beyond, and industry clustered around Pithampur, Sanwer Road and the city's outskirts. Each group calls a CA for different reasons. This is the pattern we see.
| If you are | Your usual headache | What we set up |
|---|---|---|
| Wholesale dealer or stockist | Hundreds of small bills, credit to retailers, cash sales | Monthly GST, stock tally, choice between presumptive and regular ITR |
| Commission agent at a mandi | Income is commission, not the value of grain sold | Correct income booking, TDS credit check under section 194H |
| Auto or pharma component maker | Large buyers insist on clean e-invoices and matching credit | E-invoice and e-way bill routine, GSTR-2B match, audit prep |
| Food or soybean processor | Seasonal buying, FSSAI, GST rates by product | Purchase registers, credit tracking, licence calendar |
| Clinic, coaching centre or showroom | Staff salaries and Vritti Kar | Payroll deductions, PT deposits, GST if turnover crosses the limit |
| Salaried or remote IT worker | Regime choice, capital gains, foreign income | ITR with AIS match and advance tax plan |
The common thread is reconciliation. Your GST returns, bank statement and ITR must tell one story. The department's systems match them automatically, and gaps turn into notices. Most of our work here is about keeping those three in line before the department asks.
GST and income tax are central, but the state decides professional tax and runs its own commercial tax administration.
This table is our standard checklist for a new Madhya Pradesh client. A careful adviser should be able to talk through every row.
| Item | Madhya Pradesh position |
|---|---|
| GST state code | 23 |
| State tax administration | Commercial Tax Department, Madhya Pradesh (also runs professional tax) |
| Quarterly GSTR-3B under QRMP | 22nd of the month after the quarter |
| Monthly GSTR-3B | 20th of the following month |
| Professional tax law | Madhya Pradesh Vritti Kar Adhiniyam, 1995 |
| PT deposit by employer | By the 10th of the month after deduction |
| Company and LLP registrar | ROC Gwalior, for the whole state |
Small businesses in the state with turnover up to ₹5 crore can choose QRMP: quarterly returns, monthly tax payment through PMT-06 by the 25th. Madhya Pradesh falls in the group of states that file the quarterly GSTR-3B by the 22nd, while north Indian states such as Uttar Pradesh use the 24th. Software built elsewhere sometimes sets the wrong reminder.
A supplier of goods registers once turnover crosses ₹40 lakh in a year, a service provider at ₹20 lakh. Selling goods to another state needs registration regardless of turnover, and that catches many local traders who send consignments to Maharashtra or Rajasthan. Our GST registration service handles the application, the geo-tagged premises check and replies to officer queries in REG-03.
Nothing up to ₹2,25,000 a year of salary, then ₹1,500, ₹2,000 or ₹2,500 a year depending on the slab.
Unlike some states, Madhya Pradesh does charge professional tax, called Vritti Kar. The employer deducts it from salary each month and deposits it with the Commercial Tax Department.
| Annual salary | PT for the year | Monthly deduction |
|---|---|---|
| Up to ₹2,25,000 | Nil | Nil |
| ₹2,25,001 to ₹3,00,000 | ₹1,500 | ₹125 |
| ₹3,00,001 to ₹4,00,000 | ₹2,000 | ₹166 for eleven months, ₹174 in the twelfth |
| Above ₹4,00,000 | ₹2,500 | ₹208 for eleven months, ₹212 in the twelfth |
Deposits fall due by the 10th of the following month. Late payment attracts a penalty on the unpaid tax, so a missed month is cheaper to fix early.
Example: suppose a coaching institute in Bhanwarkuan hires six teachers at ₹30,000 a month. That is ₹3,60,000 a year each, so ₹166 a month per teacher. The owner never registers, because nobody told him. Two years later a bank asks for PT compliance during a loan review. The fix is to register the employer, work out arrears with interest and set up the monthly deposit. It is fixable, but it is cheaper on day one.
Employees: PT appears in your Form 16. It reduces taxable salary only under the old regime. In the new regime it is still deducted, but it brings no income tax saving.
If you supply to a large auto or pharma company, your compliance becomes part of theirs. A missed invoice upload costs them credit and costs you the order.
Pithampur, in Dhar district close to Indore, is often called the Detroit of India for its automotive base. Around it sit many smaller vendors: machining shops, sheet metal units, packaging suppliers. Most sell to a handful of large buyers whose purchase teams check every GSTR-1 upload.
A vendor who bought inputs at 28% and now sells at 18% may build up unused credit. Refund of accumulated credit on inverted duty is possible in RFD-01, but not for every case, and the formula excludes credit on input services and capital goods. We work out whether the refund is worth filing before you spend time on it.
Our GST return filing plans include the monthly upload check your buyers depend on.
Food and agri businesses deal with FSSAI, GST and income tax together, and the rules for commission agents differ from those for traders.
Indore is home to the ICAR-Indian Institute of Soybean Research, and the city sits in the middle of the Madhya Pradesh soybean belt. Solvent plants, oil refiners, dal mills and namkeen makers form a long chain. Their tax issues are different from a garment shop's.
A mandi commission agent earns a percentage, not the sale value. Services of a commission agent for sale or purchase of agricultural produce are exempt from GST. TDS on commission falls under section 194H at 2%, once payments cross ₹20,000 in a year. We often see agents show the full sale value as turnover in the ITR, which inflates the audit question and confuses the AIS. Book commission as income, and keep the farmer and buyer accounts as pass-through.
Example: a snack maker on the city edge sells to distributors across Madhya Pradesh and two neighbouring states. Without e-way bills for the interstate trips and a clear product-wise rate list, the annual return never matches. The fix starts with the rate master in the billing software, then the returns follow. For licences, see our FSSAI registration service.
If your real margin is below 6% to 8%, presumptive tax may cost more than keeping books. If margins are healthy, it saves effort.
Wholesale hardware, paint and electrical dealers in Siyaganj often work on 3% to 5% margins. That changes the maths of section 44AD.
| Point | Section 44AD presumptive | Regular books |
|---|---|---|
| Profit declared | 8% of turnover, or 6% of turnover received digitally, or more | Actual profit |
| Turnover limit | ₹2 crore, or ₹3 crore if cash receipts are within 5% | No limit |
| Detailed books | Not required | Required |
| Tax audit | Generally not needed if conditions are met | Above ₹1 crore (₹10 crore with cash within 5%) |
| Return form | ITR-4 for eligible individuals, HUFs and firms | ITR-3 or ITR-5 |
A dealer turning over ₹1.8 crore with a 3% real margin earns about ₹5.4 lakh. Under 44AD, at 6% on digital receipts, he declares ₹10.8 lakh. He pays tax on money he never made. Books and actual profit may cost less even after an accountant's fee.
If you opt out of 44AD after using it, you generally cannot come back to it for the next five years, and a tax audit may apply in those years if income is below the presumptive rate. Decide with three or four years in view.
One change to note: the Income-tax Act, 2025 applies from 1 April 2026 (tax year 2026-27). Presumptive rules now sit in section 58 of the new Act. Returns for FY 2025-26 still follow the 1961 Act.
For bookkeeping support, see our accounting service.
These are the slips that show up again and again when a new client shares old filings.
None of these is rare. Each is cheap to fix early and tiresome to fix after a notice.
A section 143(1)(a) intimation gives you a chance to respond before an adjustment is made. Read it the day it arrives. Send it to us on WhatsApp if the numbers do not make sense.
You can call with nothing, but these papers let us quote and start the same day.
We sort the list by type of client. Pick the part that fits you.
| Situation | Extra paper to send |
|---|---|
| You sold farmland near Indore | Land records, distance from municipal limits, sale deed |
| You received a GST notice | Notice PDF with reference number and date of issue |
| You plan to buy a flat | Builder agreement, so we can guide property TDS (section 194-IA, now section 393, paid in Form 141) |
| You export software services | LUT acknowledgement, FIRA or bank advice for each receipt |
Sold agricultural land? Whether it is a capital asset depends on distance from municipal limits and the population of that area. The answer changes the tax, so we check it with the land records before filing.
For salaried returns, our income tax filing page shows the process step by step.
You talk on phone and WhatsApp, share files online, see a draft and approve. The filing happens on the government portal.
Recommendations from relatives and fellow traders are how most families in the city find a CA, and that is a fair start. But the person who handled your uncle's grain business may not know foreign contract income or e-invoicing. Ask a few direct questions.
Indore is served fully online, the same as every other city we work with. You send papers on WhatsApp or to wecare@taxcaller.com. A tax expert prepares the return, a qualified Chartered Accountant from our network reviews where the work needs one, and you approve the draft on your phone. Filing happens on the GST, income tax, TRACES or MCA portal, and the acknowledgement comes straight back.
Companies registered with ROC Gwalior get their annual forms on the same calendar: AOC-4 within 30 days of the AGM, MGT-7 within 60 days, plus ADT-1 when an auditor is appointed. LLPs file Form 11 by 30 May and Form 8 by 30 October. If you employ staff and deduct tax, our TDS return filing service covers the quarterly statements: Form 24Q and 26Q, which became Form 138 and Form 140 from tax year 2026-27.
Our team works Monday to Saturday, 9 AM to 6 PM. Messages sent late in the evening are picked up the next working morning.
Pick one service or the full set. Many businesses begin with GST and ITR, then add books and TDS.
GSTR-1 or IFF, GSTR-3B, the annual GSTR-9 and GSTR-9C where needed. Each month we compare your purchase register with GSTR-2B, act on invoices in IMS and tell you which supplier is holding back your credit before you pay tax.
Returns for salaried staff, doctors, remote software workers, traders, firms, LLPs and companies. We choose the right form, match AIS and Form 26AS, compare tax regimes, and plan advance tax so that interest under sections 234B and 234C does not pile up.
TDS on salary, rent, contracts, commission and purchases. Monthly challans by the 7th, quarterly returns in Form 24Q and 26Q (Form 138 and 140 from 2026-27), and Form 16 and 16A for staff and vendors. Madhya Pradesh professional tax deposits by the 10th sit on the same checklist.
Monthly posting in Tally or your current software, bank and party reconciliation, stock registers and year-end accounts. Seasonal buyers like soybean and grain processors get stock records that match the harvest cycle, so gross profit makes sense to a banker or an auditor.
Schedules and confirmations ready for tax audit under section 44AB and statutory audit for companies. Annual ROC Gwalior filings such as AOC-4, MGT-7 and LLP Form 8 and Form 11 are tracked on your calendar so late fees do not build up quietly.
ASMT-10 scrutiny, DRC-01B and DRC-01C intimations, and income tax notices for mismatch or non-filing. We read the notice, list what the officer wants, draft a reply with supporting working, get your approval and file within the time given.
If one of these sounds familiar, a short call will help.
You started selling outside Madhya Pradesh
Inter-state sale of goods needs GST registration from the first consignment, whatever your turnover. Many local traders learn this when a transporter asks for an e-way bill.
Your first salary bill crossed the PT slab
Once an employee earns more than ₹2,25,000 a year, Vritti Kar applies. Registration and monthly deposits by the 10th should start right away.
A big buyer asked for e-invoices
If your turnover has crossed ₹5 crore in any year since 2017-18, e-invoicing is compulsory. Large buyers often notice before the vendor does.
You took a remote job with a foreign company
Contract income from abroad changes your ITR form, may need advance tax and may need an LUT for GST if turnover crosses ₹20 lakh.
A notice arrived on the portal
GST and income tax notices carry a reply window. A clear reply backed by a reconciliation usually closes the matter early.
Changes clients tend to notice within a few months.
Start with whatever you have handy. We ask for the rest after a first look.
Don't have everything? Send what you have on WhatsApp — our expert will tell you what's missing.
Send documents on WhatsAppReadable phone photos of bills are fine. Bank statements downloaded as PDF or Excel from net banking are quicker to check than scanned printouts.
The usual path for a new client, in five steps.
First call, free of charge
We learn how you earn, what has been filed and what is pending. You hear the scope and fee before agreeing.
Papers over WhatsApp or email
You share files online. We check them within a working day and send back a short list of anything missing.
Preparation and matching
We prepare the return or accounts and match them with AIS, Form 26AS or GSTR-2B. A salaried ITR usually takes 2 to 3 working days once papers are complete.
Draft for your approval
The computation or summary reaches you on WhatsApp. We walk you through it on a call if you want.
Filed, with records shared
We file on the portal and send the acknowledgement, challans and working papers. Copies stay in a folder under your PAN.
Facts only, nothing we cannot back up.
In practice since 2018
TaxCaller India LLP, LLPIN AAQ-7388, has handled tax and compliance work since 2018 through a network of qualified Chartered Accountants and tax experts.
Online across India
Clients in the city work with us exactly like clients elsewhere: documents online, decisions on call and WhatsApp, filings on the official portals.
Fee before work
The first call is free, and the fee is told before any work starts. You decide after that.
GST, ITR, TDS and books together
One team keeps all your compliance, so you do not explain your business three times.
Working papers you keep
Each return comes with its computation and reconciliations, which helps when a question comes up years later.
Expert for this topic CA Firm in Indore
Abhinay rai
Founder
Abhinay rai is a Founder specialising in CA Firm in Indore. Checked against MP Vritti Kar slabs and the 10th deposit date, the 22nd QRMP date for Madhya Pradesh, ROC Gwalior, the uniform 18% auto parts rate from 22 Sept 2025, 44AD limits, 194H and 194Q rules and the Income-tax Act, 2025 start date.
Many local owners file their own GST. Here is a fair look at where outside help saves time and where risk usually hides.
| TaxCaller | Others | |
|---|---|---|
| Monthly credit check | GSTR-2B and IMS reviewed before GSTR-3B | Often skipped close to the due date |
| Auto part rates after Sept 2025 | Rate master checked so all auto parts bill at 18% | Old 28% entries can stay in software |
| Vritti Kar | Slabs applied and deposits tracked by the 10th | Easy to deduct and forget to deposit |
| 44AD or books | Worked out on your real margin with the five-year rule in view | Usually decided by habit |
| Foreign or remote income | Right ITR form, Schedule FA and advance tax | Often filed in ITR-1 by mistake |
| Notice replies | Drafted with working, approved by you, filed in time | Possible, but slow without practice |
Direct answers to the questions we hear most often on calls from the city.
Yes. We handle clients here fully online. You send documents on WhatsApp or email, we discuss questions on a phone call and prepare the return, and you approve a draft before we file on the GST or income tax portal. The acknowledgement and challan copies come back to your phone, so travel is never needed.
It depends on annual salary. Up to ₹2,25,000 there is no tax. Between ₹2,25,001 and ₹3,00,000 it is ₹1,500 a year, up to ₹4,00,000 it is ₹2,000, and above that ₹2,500. Employers deduct it monthly under the Madhya Pradesh Vritti Kar law and deposit it by the 10th of the next month.
The Registrar of Companies at Gwalior covers companies and LLPs with a registered office anywhere in Madhya Pradesh, this city included. Annual forms such as AOC-4, MGT-7, ADT-1, LLP Form 8 and Form 11 are filed online on the MCA portal. Nobody needs to travel to Gwalior for routine filings, as everything is done online.
Madhya Pradesh is in the 22nd group, so local taxpayers under QRMP file the quarterly GSTR-3B by the 22nd of the month after the quarter. Monthly filers use the 20th. Under QRMP, tax for the first two months of the quarter is paid through PMT-06 by the 25th of the following month, unless dates are extended.
From 22 September 2025, all auto parts carry 18% GST regardless of HSN code. Parts earlier taxed at 28% dropped to 18%. Vendors should update their rate master, check purchase orders written before the change and review any credit that may now pile up because inputs were bought at the older, higher rate.
Usually not for the commission itself. Services of a commission agent for sale or purchase of agricultural produce are exempt from GST. If the agent also trades on own account or earns other taxable income above the limit, registration may still apply. TDS on commission under section 194H is 2% above ₹20,000.
Only if your real profit is close to or above 6% to 8% of turnover. Many Siyaganj dealers earn 3% to 5%, so presumptive tax makes them pay on profit they never earned. Remember the lock: opting out after using 44AD bars you from it for five years. We compare both routes on your figures.
It depends on the contract. If you are an employee on payroll, salary rules apply. If you are a contractor, the income is business or professional income, filed in ITR-3, or ITR-4 under section 44ADA if eligible. Foreign bank accounts or shares go in Schedule FA, and advance tax usually applies.
Often yes. FSSAI is about food safety, GST is about tax, and they are separate. From April 2026, basic FSSAI registration covers turnover up to ₹1.5 crore, with a licence needed above that. GST registration applies once turnover crosses ₹40 lakh for goods, or from the first inter-state sale. We handle both online.
We start the day you send it. For a DRC-01B or DRC-01C intimation, we prepare the difference statement within a few working days and share the draft reply with you. Larger scrutiny notices in ASMT-10 take longer because we rebuild the reconciliation. Every reply is filed before the deadline given in the notice.
The fee depends on the number of invoices, bank accounts, staff on payroll and whether TDS is included. We share the exact fee on the free first call, before work begins. Any late fee, interest or government charge is separate and is paid by you directly to the department through the portal.
It depends on where the land is. Rural agricultural land, outside the distance limits set from municipal boundaries, is not a capital asset, so its sale is not taxed as capital gains. Land within those limits is taxable. We check the land records and the municipal distance before filing so the right treatment is applied.
Use any of these alone or as part of a full CA engagement.
